Since its launch in late 2017, CaixaBank DayOne, the bank’s division specializing in technology companies and investors, has seen remarkable growth. Over the past year alone, its client base has expanded by 10%, now surpassing 5,000—a tenfold increase since its inception.

DayOne is dedicated to supporting fast-growing, globally focused technology companies through tailored financial solutions. In 2024, the division processed 24% more financing transactions than the previous year, with a total of 1,827 operations. With a market penetration rate exceeding 60%, it has solidified its position as a key player in the innovation sector.

Regional expansion and strategic growth

Currently, DayOne operates physical offices in major Spanish cities, including Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia, with specialized managers extending services across 14 autonomous communities. In 2024, it expanded its reach to the Balearic Islands, further strengthening its commitment to regional innovation.

Looking ahead to 2025, DayOne aims to continue its growth trajectory by deepening client relationships and forging new partnerships. It remains committed to facilitating connections between its clients and industry stakeholders while introducing new products and services to enhance its value proposition.

A hub for innovation and collaboration

Beyond financing, DayOne fosters collaboration through strategic alliances and participation in major industry events. In 2024, it engaged in over 360 events across Spain, including South Summit and Valencia Digital Summit, and established more than 30 key partnerships with organizations such as Tech Barcelona and Startup Valencia.

Expanding its financial offerings, DayOne introduced a €150 million Venture Debt instrument in late 2024 to support technology companies' growth. Additionally, its Corporate & Investment Banking team provides advisory services on fundraising and mergers and acquisitions.

Supporting startups through the EmprendeXXI Awards

Since 2007, DayOne has hosted the EmprendeXXI Awards, recognizing high-potential startups in Spain and Portugal. Now in its 18th edition, the initiative has awarded over €9.1 million to more than 525 companies, fostering a thriving network of innovative entrepreneurs.

With its continued expansion and investment in innovation, CaixaBank DayOne is positioning itself as a cornerstone of Spain’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, providing essential support to the next generation of technology leaders.
