Stress-free solutions for flight delays and cancellations

With travel demand rising post-pandemic, delays remain a significant concern. Recent data shows that 33 million travelers across Asia Pacific faced delays exceeding an hour, impacting their overall travel experience. Ping An recognizes this challenge and now offers a hassle-free solution. Through SmartDelay, policyholders can skip the traditional claims process and instantly receive a QR code granting access to airport lounges or benefits such as spa treatments, sleep pods, or dining discounts when their flight is delayed or canceled.

Enhanced travel coverage with Ping An Insurance

SmartDelay is available across all three tiers of Ping An’s online travel insurance policies. Customers simply need to register their flight at least two hours before departure to qualify, with the added benefit of extending access to one accompanying traveler. Hugo Yeung, Deputy General Manager at Ping An Insurance (Hong Kong), emphasized the company's dedication to customer-centric solutions: “Our goal is to be a trusted insurance partner by providing protection at every stage of life, including travel. This partnership ensures our customers can enjoy instant access to a global network of airport lounges without the hassle of a claims process.”

By integrating SmartDelay, Ping An continues to enhance its travel insurance offerings, providing Hong Kong travelers with greater peace of mind and a more enjoyable journey.
