Standard Chartered has launched an industry-first AI-powered video column, the “Standard Chartered Wealth Management FX Intelligent Expert”, to provide clients with real-time foreign exchange (FX) market insights. Developed in collaboration with LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group), this cutting-edge initiative reinforces the bank’s leadership in digital-first wealth solutions.

The AI-powered tool transforms insights from the Daily Market Navigator, a publication by Standard Chartered’s Global Chief Investment Office, into dynamic, one-minute video summaries. These videos incorporate AI-driven summarization, translation, and voiceover narration, making complex FX trends more accessible to investors.

Debuting in Mainland China in December 2024, the service will expand to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan in the coming months.

Bridging the gap for investors in FX markets

Foreign exchange is a crucial aspect of diversified asset allocation, but its fast-changing nature makes it difficult for investors to keep up. The Standard Chartered Wealth Management FX Intelligent Expert provides timely, digestible, and interactive updates, enabling clients to make well-informed trading decisions.

The AI-powered insights offer significant advantages:

• Faster Market Analysis: AI-generated content delivers instant updates on FX trends.

• Scalability and Accessibility: On-demand videos make complex data easier to understand.

• Enhanced Client Experience: The service improves engagement through visually compelling insights.

AI and digital innovation in wealth management

This latest initiative underscores Standard Chartered’s broader commitment to AI-driven financial advisory. Samir Subberwal, Global Head of Wealth Solutions, Deposits, and Mortgages, emphasized the bank’s mission to provide personalized, high-quality FX insights.

“Our partnership with LSEG enables us to convert expert market intelligence into AI-powered videos, allowing clients to access crucial FX insights anytime, anywhere,” said Subberwal.

Sneha Manohar, Head of Strategic Accounts, APAC, LSEG, added: “This collaboration demonstrates how AI can revolutionize financial services, offering investors intuitive and efficient tools to navigate the dynamic FX market.”

With AI-driven wealth management solutions gaining traction, Standard Chartered continues to set the benchmark for digital innovation in global banking.
