Revolut, the global financial app with over 50 million customers, has announced the expansion of its services to Ukrainian residents, alongside a new international donation campaign and the launch of a special edition Clear Sky card.

Starting today, Ukrainians can seamlessly open a European Revolut account, gaining access to innovative features such as fee-free peer-to-peer transfers and borderless money transfers worldwide. The accounts support foreign exchange and remittances in over 30 currencies with competitive rates. To facilitate a secure onboarding process, Revolut has partnered with Diia, Ukraine’s award-winning e-government platform.

How Revolut is supporting Ukraine financially

Currently, more than 700,000 Ukrainians living in the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA) use Revolut’s services. Since 2022, over €1 billion has been transferred to Ukraine through Revolut, with the majority of funds originating from Germany, the UK, Ireland, Poland, and the Netherlands.

Clear Sky Card: A symbol of hope

A key feature of this expansion is the introduction of the Clear Sky VISA debit card. Designed by Revolut’s Ukrainian design team, the card features a transparent blue design inspired by the Ukrainian flag, symbolizing hope for a peaceful future. The card is available to Revolut customers in the UK, EEA, and Ukraine. While UK and EEA customers must donate a minimum of £5 or €5 to unlock the card, Ukrainians can order it without a donation. Revolut will match customer donations up to £200,000, with all proceeds going to UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.

Revolut has a history of supporting Ukraine, having previously helped raise over £10 million for humanitarian efforts. With this latest initiative, the company continues its commitment to providing financial accessibility and aid to those affected by the ongoing conflict.
