Exclusive benefits for new members

Startups joining the program will benefit from key incentives during their first six months. These include NZD $50,000 in free FX for capital raises, with zero fees and a 0% margin on FX conversions. Additionally, members can earn 1% cashback on international transactions made using Airwallex cards. Founders will also gain access to exclusive perks and guidance from partners, covering areas such as employee share plans, insurance, accounting software, and compliance tools.

Building community connections

Taylor Fox-Smith, Head of Airwallex for Startups at Airwallex ANZ, highlighted the mission behind the program: “As an Aussie-born, global fintech, we recognize our role in supporting Kiwi startups as they navigate their entrepreneurial journey. Our work with innovative companies like Auror and Tracksuit, and collaborations with enablers like Creative HQ, reflect our commitment to deep community ties.”

Fox-Smith stressed that mastering financial foundations is key to business success. “We aim to connect founders with established leaders to provide guidance, building a thriving community that supports every stage of growth.”

Initially launched in Hong Kong in September 2023, Airwallex for Startups has since expanded to Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, with over 2,000 startups participating globally. Airwallex continues to enhance its offerings in New Zealand, introducing physical cards and payment acceptance alongside existing FX, global accounts, and virtual card services.
