TBC Group – one of the key players in Georgia and Uzbekistan embraced agile transformation already some time ago. In this interview with Qorus and ebankIT, Tornike Gogichaishvili who is the Deputy CEO Retail Business at TBC Bank shares more about their key transformational projects and how they differentiate themselves in the intense competition in their market. Tell us more about your bank
TBC group operates on two markets for the moment, Georgia as core market and Uzbekistan (recent move). In Georgia TBC bank holds around 40% of the market across all segments, like retail, SME, CIB, and payment business. Apart of the bank, group also owns insurance business, PSP companies and largest digital platforms on the Georgian market, latter united in the company of Tnet. Tnet is operating across four key pillars, like lifestyle and ticketing, housing, cars, and ecommerce. TBC has entered Uzbekistan couple of years ago by acquiring payment company PayMe (one of the biggest payment companies in the country) and then launched fully digital bank enabled by our inhouse application Space. Currently both businesses in Uzbekistan are growing rapidly and we already account more than 8 mln users only in our Uz operations.
