Qorus and Accenture announced the winners of the ninth annual Banking Innovation Awards during a ceremony held in Barcelona on 30 November.
The global program, which recognizes the best new innovative ideas and projects in insurance, attracted 681 entries from 242 institutions in 57 different countries. This year’s entries demonstrate an ongoing customer focus, creative applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation as well as a sustainability lens.
The winners were selected across seven categories by a panel of judges, including senior executives from banks worldwide. Each entry was assessed using three criteria: originality; strategic capacity to generate long-term competitive edge and return on investment; and adaptability for use in other markets and countries.
