Starting in 2020, Efma and Mastercard joined forces to create an SME banking community. With webinars, podcasts, and articles, we were able to connect and inspire an outstanding community that played an integral role in providing support to SMEs during a difficult year.

Now, after a year of community building, it is time to recognize the very best. Every successful community needs to have a benchmark, which is why we are launching our first annual SME Banking Awards. These specialized awards will highlight the most innovative players in the industry. This initiative will help institutions position themselves as innovation leaders while showcasing their SME strategy and vision.

During the event, winners in two categories - SME Banker of the Year and SME Bank of the Year: supporting SMEs in a time of crisis will be announced.
