TBC Uzbekistan, the region's leading digital banking ecosystem, is expanding its services with the launch of a new lending product tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individual entrepreneurs. This move follows the success of its fully-digital TBC Business service, which was introduced in December 2024 to help fuel the growth of SMEs in Uzbekistan.

Digital access to funding for SMEs

The new SME lending product, integrated into the TBC Business suite, offers digital access to short-term business loans of up to 300 million Uzbek Som (~$23,000), with terms of up to three years. Initially available in a "Friends & Family" mode, the product will be fully rolled out shortly. It is designed to address the growing need for quick and easy access to funding, empowering SMEs—who play a vital role in Uzbekistan’s economy—to expand their operations.

Fast, collateral-free loan approval

One of the standout features of this offering is its ease of use. The loan process requires minimal customer data and does not require any collateral. All the necessary information to assess loan eligibility and amount is gathered digitally, allowing for rapid processing. Leveraging TBC’s advanced technological infrastructure, the loans can be approved and disbursed in just a few minutes, setting a new benchmark for SME lending in Uzbekistan.

Strengthening TBC Uzbekistan’s digital ecosystem

Nika Kurdiani, CEO of TBC Uzbekistan, emphasized the company's commitment to enhancing financial services in the country. “We are proud to offer another vital product that supports the growth of SMEs, which are increasingly key drivers of economic development in Uzbekistan,” he said. “This expansion reinforces our position as the leading digital banking ecosystem in Central Asia.”

With a population of 37 million and a young, tech-savvy demographic, Uzbekistan is a prime market for TBC Uzbekistan’s growing digital banking services. The bank, which reaches 18.4 million registered users, continues to diversify its product offerings, including the recent introduction of Osmon credit cards and Salom debit cards. With its new SME lending product, TBC Uzbekistan is poised to play an even larger role in shaping the country’s digital financial landscape.
