Freelancers in Spain now have a new health insurance option designed specifically with their needs in mind, thanks to a partnership between Malt, Indeez, and Sanitas. The new plan offers comprehensive coverage with a range of exclusive benefits geared toward the self-employed.

“At Malt, we know that when you’re a freelancer, you are your most valuable asset,” said a spokesperson from Malt. “That’s why we’ve teamed up with Indeez and Sanitas to bring you top-tier healthcare coverage, specially designed for freelancers in Spain.”

Comprehensive, 24/7 medical support

The plan, backed by Sanitas’ extensive healthcare network, includes full coverage for both primary care and specialist consultations—ranging from gynecology and psychiatry to diagnostics like MRIs and X-rays. It also includes over 30 dental services and 24/7 video consultations for emergencies.

Extra benefits for real life

Beyond standard healthcare, the insurance covers work-related accidents and offers added support during illness or hospitalization, such as home delivery of medication, in-home physiotherapy, and even childcare and tutoring services. Freelancers can also customize their coverage with extras like senior care, optical discounts, and hospitalization compensation.

Smart digital access and an exclusive network

Digital access is central to the experience, with personalized health programs and an easy-to-use app, Mi Sanitas, for managing appointments and reimbursements. Sanitas’ exclusive network includes over 54,000 healthcare professionals, 4,240 medical centers, and a range of specialized hospitals and wellness facilities.

This new alliance promises peace of mind and high-quality care for Spain’s growing freelance workforce—offering them the protection and flexibility they need to thrive.
