Ant International has officially launched its embedded finance service in Brazil, aiming to enhance access to capital for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the country’s growing e-commerce sector. The initiative, led by Ant International’s AI-driven lending platform Bettr, marks a strategic collaboration with AliExpress and local partners to support merchants seeking financing solutions.

AI-powered lending with Bettr working capital

The newly introduced Bettr Working Capital will offer streamlined loan options tailored to SMEs operating on the AliExpress platform. The service is set to roll out gradually, with initial disbursements beginning on March 17. As Brazil remains Latin America's largest digital economy, the demand for SME financing continues to rise, yet many businesses face challenges securing funding due to limited collateral and a lack of standardized financial documentation.

Bettr integrates AI-powered lending technology to analyze merchants’ sales records and other business data, facilitating faster and more inclusive credit assessments. The platform aims to offer accessible and flexible loan options, helping merchants manage cash flow, expand their businesses, and explore new product categories. Loan amounts start at BRL 1,000, with competitive interest rates, flexible repayment terms, and no collateral requirements.

How AliExpress sellers can access flexible financing

AliExpress sellers can access Bettr Working Capital through the "Financial Services" section in the AliExpress Seller Centre. The digital application process features real-time approval tracking, quick fund disbursement, and responsive customer support.

Quan Yu, General Manager of Ant International’s Global Credit Tech, emphasized the importance of expanding financial access for local businesses. "Our partnership with AliExpress marks a meaningful first step in broadening financial access for SMEs. By leveraging AI and collaborating with local partners, we are dedicated to turning technology into practical solutions," Yu stated.

AliExpress LatAm Director Briza Bueno highlighted the partnership's potential to strengthen local entrepreneurship, stating that it aligns with AliExpress’s commitment to providing financial tools that help SMEs scale their businesses.

As Ant International continues to expand its embedded finance offerings, the company aims to develop further partnerships and financial solutions tailored to the evolving needs of SMEs worldwide.
