CIMB launches exclusive golf lounge for preferred clients

CIMB Bank Berhad, one of Malaysia’s leading financial institutions, has introduced ‘The Golf Lounge for CIMB Preferred,’ an exclusive golf facility, designed to offer a premium experience for its Preferred clients. The launch marks CIMB’s latest effort to enhance its suite of lifestyle privileges for affluent customers.

Developed in partnership with Wedge Golf, the Lounge features two private suites equipped with advanced indoor golf simulators. Clients can access a selection of over 50 world-class golf courses, making the facility a versatile space for both casual and competitive play. The Lounge provides a venue for social engagement, networking, and skill development, with CIMB Preferred clients enjoying a three-hour complimentary session in the Private Suite, subject to terms and conditions. Open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., the Lounge is available exclusively for CIMB Preferred clients.

Exclusive access and VIP golf benefits

The launch event featured professional golfer and CIMB brand partner Ervin Chang, who conducted an exclusive golf clinic. Attendees received personalized coaching, with insights on improving their swing, strategy, and overall performance.

Effendy Shahul Hamid, CEO of Group Consumer and Digital Banking at CIMB Group, highlighted the Lounge as an extension of the CIMB Preferred Golf Series, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to providing tailored lifestyle benefits. “Golf embodies excellence, precision, and focus—values that align with our commitment to delivering top-tier experiences. The Golf Lounge is more than just a facility; it represents our dedication to personalized services for our clients,” he stated.

In addition to access to the Lounge, CIMB Preferred clients will receive invitations to private events, discounted rates for extended sessions, professional golf lessons, and complimentary refreshments. The initiative aligns with CIMB’s broader strategy to integrate lifestyle and financial services, offering clients personalized solutions and exclusive privileges.
