TBC Uzbekistan, the region’s leading digital banking ecosystem and a subsidiary of the London-listed TBC Bank Group, is revolutionizing financial services in Central Asia with the deployment of advanced AI technologies. The bank’s strategic focus on AI-driven efficiency, enhanced customer service, and rapid scalability underscores its commitment to innovation in Uzbekistan’s fast-growing financial sector.

By developing proprietary Uzbek-language AI models, TBC Uzbekistan is building a next-generation digital bank centered on personalization, omnichannel experiences, and smart automation. One of its key breakthroughs has been the launch of AI-powered voice agents, which play a crucial role in customer interactions. In 2024, the bank introduced AI-driven speech technology to handle loan payment reminders. By January 2025, these AI agents were managing over 40% of early-stage loan delinquencies, delivering human-like interactions that significantly improve efficiency while maintaining top-tier customer service.

TBC’s AI expansion continues in 2025 with the deployment of its proprietary Uzbek-language large language model (LLM) for sales, with plans to extend its capabilities to customer support, in-app virtual assistants, and other services later this year. Notably, all AI deployments are conducted on-premises, ensuring strict data protection and regulatory compliance.

“Our AI-powered calls and sales chatbots are ten times more efficient than human operators,” said Konstantin Kruglov, Head of AI at TBC. “These technologies allow us to scale rapidly while delivering exceptional customer experiences, reinforcing our position as a tech leader in Central Asia.”

TBC Uzbekistan’s AI-driven strategy has fueled rapid growth, with over 17 million registered users and a net profit of $27 million in the first nine months of 2024. As the country’s demand for digital banking surges, TBC continues to expand its ecosystem, including its digital payments platform, Payme, and its fast-growing installment credit service, Payme Nasiya.

With AI at the core of its operations, TBC Uzbekistan is setting new benchmarks for digital banking innovation in Central Asia, ensuring sustainable and scalable growth in a tech-driven financial landscape.
