Prudential Financial has announced a strategic collaboration with Empathy, a leading bereavement support platform, to expand workplace benefits with holistic resources for families navigating the loss of a loved one. This partnership reflects Prudential Group Insurance’s dedication to offering practical and emotional support during life’s most challenging moments.

Personalized support through advanced tools

The enhanced suite of services provides beneficiaries with access to a range of tools to ease the complexities of loss. These include support for funeral planning, obituary writing, probate, and estate settlement. Additionally, personalized guidance from dedicated Care Managers ensures families receive compassionate assistance tailored to their unique needs.

“By enhancing our beneficiary support, Prudential is reaffirming its commitment to being a rock for policyholders and their families,” said Jessica Gillespie, Prudential’s head of Group Insurance Product and Underwriting. “We aim to provide not only financial protection but also emotional and practical help when it matters most.”

Redefining bereavement benefits

Empathy’s co-founder and CEO, Ron Gura, emphasized the transformative nature of this collaboration. “Our relationship with Prudential is an extraordinary opportunity to help more families navigate loss by blending advanced technology with heartfelt care,” Gura explained. “Together, we’re creating a new standard for benefits that prioritize compassion and comprehensive support.”

The expanded resources include a beneficiary hub, wellness journal, and claim assistance, designed to alleviate both the emotional and logistical burdens of grief. While availability of services may vary by state, the initiative underscores Prudential’s commitment to supporting families through their bereavement journey with care and understanding.
