Bank Islam Malaysia has launched its next-generation digital banking platforms, BIMB Mobile (BIMB Mobile app) and BIMB Web (web.bimb.com), setting a new benchmark in digital banking for over four million customers across the country. This significant leap reflects the bank’s commitment to enhancing user experience, navigation, and security.

Redefining digital banking

The new platforms offer a comprehensive suite of tools designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s customers. With personalized features, robust security measures, and a sleek, intuitive design, BIMB Mobile and BIMB Web provide customers with the freedom to manage their finances anytime, anywhere. This initiative highlights Bank Islam’s vision of branchless banking, delivering unparalleled convenience while ensuring users retain complete control over their transactions.

Key enhancements include modern interfaces and advanced functionalities, all developed with scalability and agility in mind. The platforms are also built on a robust technology stack that supports stability, security, and future expansions. Bank Islam’s Chief Operating Officer, Mohamed Iran Moriff Mohd Shariff, emphasized the customer-centric approach, stating, “Encouraged by customer feedback, we have designed the platforms to cater to today’s digital lifestyle, regardless of digital proficiency.”

A milestone in digital transformation

The launch marks a pivotal moment in Bank Islam’s digital transformation journey, replacing the former GO by Bank Islam app, which served 1.9 million active users over five years. As of October 2024, Bank Islam recorded 5.9 billion online transactions, showcasing the growing demand for its digital services.

With enhanced capacity and innovative features, BIMB Mobile and BIMB Web are poised to exceed expectations, empowering customers while reinforcing Bank Islam’s reputation as a digital banking leader. The bank invites feedback from its users as it continues refining its platforms to deliver an unmatched customer experience.
