The University of Jordan (UJ) and Arab Bank have strengthened their partnership with the launch of an advanced Cybersecurity Lab, marking a significant milestone in their collaboration.
Advancing education and employability
Dr. Obeidat commended Arab Bank’s pivotal role in supporting the university’s mission, highlighting the institution's rise to 368th place in the QS World University Rankings for 2025 and its achievements in employer reputation and graduate employability. He emphasized UJ’s commitment to preparing students with strong digital and language skills to excel in the job market.

Ms. Sadik praised UJ’s academic progress and reaffirmed Arab Bank's dedication to supporting higher education. She highlighted the critical need to address emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, digital services, and cybersecurity, which are transforming the job market. Discussions also touched on potential training opportunities for students in these areas.
A modern cybersecurity training hub
The meeting culminated in the inauguration of the Arab Bank Cybersecurity Lab at the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology. This state-of-the-art facility, supported by Arab Bank, will provide hands-on training in areas such as digital forensics, network security, and information privacy. Faculty members emphasized the lab’s role in equipping students with practical skills to address real-world challenges.
The delegation also toured classrooms in the School of Business, currently undergoing renovations funded by Arab Bank, aimed at creating a modern learning environment. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to fostering innovation and preparing students for the demands of the future workforce.
