Revolut, a global financial technology leader and licensed European bank, has surpassed 50 million customers worldwide, including 10 million in the UK. This milestone comes after rapid growth in 2024, with over 10 million new customers this year alone, making Revolut the most downloaded financial app in the UK and Europe. The accomplishment crowns a successful year for Revolut, which saw a $45 billion valuation, a restricted UK banking license from the Prudential Regulation Authority, and record 2023 revenues of $2.2 billion, with pre-tax profits of $545 million.

Neobanks and the next step

Innovative offerings to drive growth

Revolut plans to double its customer base to 100 million and expand its services to solidify its position as the primary bank for users. In 2024, Revolut became the first UK financial institution to launch eSIM services, helping customers avoid high data roaming charges. Other new offerings include RevPoints, Europe’s first debit card loyalty program, and Mobile Wallets for faster international transfers. The company also strengthened security with Wealth Protection, a biometric layer for safeguarding savings.

Continuing to disrupt financial services

CEO Nik Storonsky highlighted Revolut’s mission to transform financial services. “Revolut exists to simplify money for everyone, everywhere. This year, we’ve broken records, launched products at unprecedented speeds, and continued disrupting the industry. The opportunity to revolutionize financial services globally remains massive, and we’re moving faster than ever to seize it.”

To celebrate this milestone, Storonsky, co-founder and CTO Vlad Yatsenko, and entrepreneur Steven Bartlett will appear at Revolut’s "The Revolutionaries" event in London. Featuring leaders from various industries, the event will culminate with a performance by Charli XCX, ahead of her sold-out UK tour.
