OCBC unveils financial and wellness program for property agents

09/07/2024News

OCBC has introduced OCBC PartnerCare, the first all-encompassing financial and personal wellness program tailored for over 35,000 property agents in Singapore. This initiative aims to fortify OCBC’s network of property agents, who play a vital role in contributing to its home loans business. The program, valued at up to $5,000 annually per agent, includes preferential home loan rates, discounts on Great Eastern insurance plans, bonus interest on referral fees credited to an OCBC 360 account, and access to various wellness events. Over a third of Singapore's property agents, already registered with OCBC for home loan referrals, have been automatically enrolled and will be the first to benefit.

As self-employed individuals, property agents often lack access to the benefits and privileges available to full-time employees in other sectors. OCBC PartnerCare bridges this gap, offering comprehensive support that has garnered strong backing from the property industry. The Singapore Estate Agents Association and leading agencies like PropNex Realty and ERA have endorsed the program.

All property agents in Singapore not yet registered with OCBC can join the program via the OCBC Agent Portal.

Mr. Sunny Quek, Head of Global Consumer Financial Services at OCBC, stated, “Homeownership is a significant milestone, and property agents are key partners in this journey. Being self-employed, they often miss out on benefits. OCBC PartnerCare addresses this gap, drawing on OCBC Group’s strengths across banking, trading, and insurance. We will monitor the program to ensure it meets agents' evolving needs and consider expanding it beyond property agents if well-received.”

OCBC PartnerCare represents a groundbreaking initiative, underscoring OCBC’s commitment to supporting property agents and enhancing their professional and personal well-being.
