Intesa Sanpaolo's recent victory at the Qorus Reinvention Awards - Europe 2024, where it secured the Gold Award for European Innovator of the Year, underscores its pivotal role in driving transformative change. This triumph coincides with the launch of "Il tuo futuro è la nostra impresa" ("Your Future is Our Business"), a groundbreaking initiative committing €120 billion to bolster Italy's economic resurgence until 2026.

Intesa Sanpaolo was named European Innovator of the Year. The bank’s relentless commitment to innovation across its organization has fueled the company’s strong growth and impressive technology capabilities. Recent innovations include ‘Switcho’ energy management service on its mobile banking app; ‘Ellis’ digital assistant that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to chat with customers and ‘AI for Corporate Targeting Automation’ that identifies the best products for corporate customers. Intesa Sanpaolo also recently launched Isybank, its digital challenger bank, with an impressive 22,000 downloads of the app in its first month of operation. Runners-up in silver and bronze place were Caixabank (Spain) and Fidelidade (Portugal), respectively.

Moreover, under CEO Carlo Messina's visionary leadership, Intesa Sanpaolo's program targets SMEs, micro-businesses, and key sectors like agri-food and tourism, prioritizing competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability. The initiative revolves around three pillars:

• Transition 5.0 and Energy: Intesa Sanpaolo collaborates with partners like SACE to incentivize energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, bolstering Italy's commitment to sustainability while enhancing business competitiveness.

• Foreign Development and New Markets: Recognizing the need for global connectivity, Intesa Sanpaolo aids businesses in diversifying export markets and navigating international complexities, fostering sustainable growth opportunities.

• Digital Progress and Security: With a focus on digitalization, the bank champions cybersecurity measures and digital literacy, empowering businesses to leverage technology while safeguarding against emerging threats.

Notably, specialized support is extended to sectors like agribusiness and tourism, with initiatives like Cresci Agri offering tailored financial instruments and advisory services to promote sustainable growth.

Stefano Barrese, Head of Intesa Sanpaolo's Banca dei Territori Division, underscores the imperative of embracing transformative change. With Intesa Sanpaolo's unwavering commitment to driving innovation and prosperity, Italy is poised to enter a new era of economic vitality, one investment at a time. As businesses navigate the evolving global landscape, Intesa Sanpaolo stands as a beacon of hope, empowering enterprises to seize opportunities and realize their fullest potential.
