Citi has introduced an innovative solution for deal-savvy consumers with the launch of Citi Shop. This free desktop browser extension, exclusive to eligible U.S. Citi credit cardmembers, aims to streamline online shopping by automatically searching for offers and coupons from over 5,000 merchants.

The initiative addresses a common hurdle for consumers - time. A Citi study revealed that 35% of Americans find it cumbersome to locate online coupons, with 74% abandoning purchases due to the absence of a quick deal. Citi Shop covers almost 30 categories, offering instant savings across various products.

Pam Habner, Head of U.S. Branded Cards and Unsecured Lending at Citi, emphasized the extension's role in simplifying cardmembers' lives. Users not only save money but also continue earning rewards like ThankYou Points or miles on their Citi rewards credit card.

To get started, cardmembers add the extension to compatible browsers like Google Chrome, Safari, or Microsoft Edge, and enroll their eligible Citi branded U.S. credit card. Citi Shop alerts users about available offers during online shopping, with savings reflected as a statement credit. The Citi Shop dashboard, accessible through the Citi Mobile App or online, allows easy tracking of savings.

The extension also actively searches for applicable coupons, providing instant savings at checkout. Anthony Merola, Head of Proprietary Products Management for U.S. Branded Cards at Citi, highlighted the seamless experience Citi Shop offers at the point of sale.

Powered by Wildfire Systems Inc., the extension solidifies Citi's commitment to enhancing online shopping experiences. Citi Ventures' investment in Wildfire since 2022 reinforces the partnership, supporting ongoing efforts to innovate and expand, ensuring consumers enjoy rewarding online shopping experiences.
