Zurich Hong Kong and Hutchison Telecommunications join forces for digital travel insurance solutions

Zurich Hong Kong and Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong (HTHK) have unveiled ReadyCell, a revolutionary collaboration aimed at meeting the rising demand for travel insurance. Operating through HTHK's Domain5, this strategic partnership provides customers with a one-stop digital solution, combining Zurich's insurance expertise and HTHK's digital capabilities.

Initially focusing on travel insurance, the collaboration offers a streamlined process for customers of 3 Hong Kong, SUPREME, SoSIM, and MO+. The digital platform facilitates swift applications and exclusive discounts. As part of the launch celebration, Zurich and Domain5 are introducing three tailored travel insurance promotions, including additional travel delay allowances, premium discounts, and a mini-game with the chance to win free air tickets.

Jim Qin, CEO of General Insurance at Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong), emphasized the collaboration's core objective of simplifying the travel insurance process, making it more convenient for customers. Qin stated, "Going forward, we will continue to explore more opportunities for joint promotions and offerings to meet customer needs – including the launch of other general insurance products."

Kenny Koo, Executive Director and CEO of Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited, highlighted the collaboration's role in digital transformation, bringing exclusive benefits to customers and reinforcing their position as a digital service provider.

Zurich's flagship product, the Breezy Travel Insurance Plan, offers comprehensive coverage with customizable benefits. Customers can personalize their plans to include options like road trips, overseas events, and short-term overseas study exchanges.

The partnership aims to provide a diverse range of insurance products and a convenient service experience through Domain5, aligning with evolving customer expectations in the digital age. The collaboration represents a significant move by industry leaders to cater to changing customer needs in the travel insurance sector.
