EQ Bank launches Carte Banque EQ, a game-changer in Québec

21/11/2023News

EQ Bank, or Banque EQ in Québec, is introducing the EQ Bank Card to Québec residents, offering a versatile solution for earning, saving, and spending. The card provides free cash withdrawals at any Canadian ATM and stands out with cash-back rewards, high-interest earnings on balances, and zero foreign transaction fees for international travel.

One standout feature is the ability to withdraw cash for free at any ATM nationwide, with EQ Bank reimbursing any incurred fees. The EQ Bank Card's cash-back rewards include a competitive 2.50% everyday interest rate, with an additional 0.50% interest on card balances for users with direct deposits or recurring pre-authorized debits. Additionally, customers enjoy a 0.5% cash back on all purchases, online or in-store.

An attractive aspect of the EQ Bank Card is its exemption from foreign transaction fees. While other providers charge up to 3% for currency conversion on international purchases, EQ Bank only passes on Mastercard's competitive foreign exchange rate during travel outside of Canada.

To acquire the EQ Bank Card, new customers can sign up for a Savings Plus Account in minutes, fund their account, and order a free card with a few clicks. The Savings Plus Account blends high-interest savings with chequing features, including unlimited Interac e-Transfers, free bill payments, no minimum balance, and zero monthly fees. The Joint Savings Plus Account offers these benefits for up to four account holders.

As EQ Bank extends its customer-focused banking experience to Québec, residents gain access to a comprehensive and seamless financial solution. Mahima Poddar, Group Head of Personal Banking, is confident that the EQ Bank Card will offer Québec customers the same satisfaction experienced by users across Canada. With a commitment to simplicity, flexibility, and customer satisfaction, EQ Bank is redefining everyday banking in Québec.
