Brazilian mobility app Gringo hits 10 million customers and aims to double revenue in 2023.
Massive, different, urgent: how six forces triggered the mobility revolution
Gringo is an app designed to simplify the lives of Brazilian drivers. It takes care of those bureaucratic and tedious tasks that used to require a lot of effort on your part. In just a few clicks, Gringo can assist you with the following:
• Monitor fines and license points: Gringo helps you keep track of your fines and your driver's license points for free, all through the app, using just your CPF (Brazilian Tax ID) and vehicle plate number.
• Payment reminders: It sends you reminders about what you need to pay, such as IPVA (vehicle property tax), DPVAT (vehicle insurance), and licensing fees, along with the due dates.
• Flexible payment options: Gringo offers various payment options, allowing you to choose the one that fits your budget, whether it's paying by credit card in up to 12 installments, via boleto (cash payment), or using PIX.
• Digital CRLV storage: The app stores your new digital vehicle registration certificate (CRLV) directly within the app, making it convenient for those who have paid licensing fees but haven't received the physical document.
“Using the same approach we have used for documentation, we are entering buy and sell to help drivers do this in a simple way. We don’t want to act like a dealership, but instead use all of the data we have collected on customers’ vehicles to help drivers choose the best offer to buy or sell their cars,” said co-founder Rodrigo Colmonero.
