AXA Hong Kong & Macau (AXA) and Klook, one of the leading travel and leisure e-commerce platforms, today announced a strategic partnership to provide a one-stop shop experience for Klook’s customers in need of insurance protection in Hong Kong. Under this partnership, AXA and Klook will first launch “Klook Travel Care”, in response to the global travel re-bound.

Covering COVID-19 related trip cancellation before departure, medical expenses incurred or trip interruption to those who contract COVID-19 during the journey, and even confirm to have infected overseas only after returning to Hong Kong, Klook Travel Care provides a wide range of protections to cope with the potential risks at every stage of the journey in the post-pandemic era. It also covers activities such as self-driving and amateur sports which are popular among Hong Kong holiday-makers.

“We are delighted to partner with Klook in Hong Kong, as this partnership demonstrates our shared commitment to putting our customers first and addressing their needs by providing greater convenience and more comprehensive products and services. With the gradual reopening of borders in countries, we have seen increasing demand in travel insurance products, amongst other protection plans. Hence, we have launched this comprehensive travel insurance product to safeguard customers amid post-pandemic period. Going forward, we will expand our product range available at Klook, from travel-related insurance plans to other general insurance products, providing better protection with ease for our customers in an ever- changing world,” said Kenneth Lai, Chief General Insurance Officer at AXA Hong Kong and Macau.

“We are delighted to partner with AXA to launch the first Klook travel insurance in the Hong Kong market, providing customers with a more comprehensive and seamless travel booking experience. With the gradual relaxation of border measures in Hong Kong, consumer demand for travel bookings has surged. At present, overseas activities, hotel accommodation, flight tickets and insurance are all available for one-stop booking on Klook platform, providing customers with more diversified services. We look forward to continuous collaboration with AXA in the future to further expand the insurance products and services available on our platform and bring better protection to our customers,” said Cs Soong, Vice President, Corporate Development at Klook.

AXA and Klook will continue to collaborate and provide greater convenience and expand their service offerings to Klook’s customers via the Klook app and website. In addition, Klook’s customers can review their policies and easily submit claims through the Emma by AXA App, AXA’s all-in-one insurance and health services platform, to streamline the claims process, allowing customers to get immediate support without geographical limitations.
